We have many new #AbilityAdvocates this year! We have had a great Fall program and can't wait for our Spring tour this year! Look for us at all of the major festivals in San Francisco! Take a look at some of the pictures from our FIRST EVER summer program! This summer, we presented at some awesome events, such as YMCA's Y Camp Assembly, San Francisco State University, Yerba Buena Alliance Neighborhood Meeting, The American Bookbinder Museum, and Lakeshore Elementary School! We also partnered with Habitat for Humanity, Sunday Streets, and San Francisco Public Library to volunteer for our communities and promote #AbilityAwareness and #DiversityAwareness all over SF! We gave #AbilityAwareness presentations on the DJ Bobby A. Stage and the DJ Ricardo stage this year at the Carnaval San Francisco Festival! It was so awesome, and we couldn't have done it without Patty Fung and Doris Posada who traveled for over an hour to be there and, of course, the advocates and their families are such a big part of our success! We were so excited to confirm our spot at the Taiwanese Festival this year! Instead of just presenting, we wanted to go just a little bigger for this special event! We partnered with the most creative and inspiring artist, Ms. Jennifer Nickless, and we designed a selfie booth using the Taiwanese masks that we made to spread #AbilityAwareness all day long! This year we advocated in the rain during the 2016 Cinco de Mayo Festival in The Mission District of San Francisco! If you'd like to read our newspaper article, click the link below! |
